really, where will we young people in business ever get mentors from? I'm telling you i am shocked at the malice, lies and manipulation that is in this industry. That seems grammatically wrong but let it be. You know I have a marketing company, and a decor one. I was earlier on based in cape town but I'm back home in kenya and I love my country dearly, but when it comes to the business culture in this country, i have alot to hate!

So I don't even know where to begin...I acquired a contract for decor nice one well paying and decided to work hand in hand with a lady who is supposed to be as close as an aunt, if your african you know what i mean, those ladies who are so close to your mother that you refer to them as auntie. Now she is trying to mess me up...business can suck! what sucks most is the fact that I have to completely detatch myself from someone i earlier on had trusted so much as to select her company and actually tender for a contract through her company instead of mine, how stupid stupid stupid of me! She plays me and now I have to use an equally aggressive approach towards her and the market as a whole just to get me where I want to get to!

really where can i get a mentor from, when will people like microsoft or P&G or Barclays or even insurance companies just connect young business men and women to older people who have been there and done that and acquired the know-how of business processes, i mean its not even getting the market thats a problem, i can sell stones to a group of stones, its just learning how to operate in the middle of sharks when you are a small growing fish, and how to keep the cunning sharks away, just making sure they are not somewhere strategizing on how to bite me!!

The truth is either way I am growing and I have grown and bloomed well, but i need someone to be there pushing me on, I don't want to always be the strongest amongst my friends, always be the one directing people, motivating them and leading them, really for once i want someone who will be there to ask, "Adino how did it go, how are you dealing with hose sharks? how can i help you, are you okey, have you delivered on the project as you had promised?" I want to account to someone better at doing what I do best, but there's no one...there's just no one...
